Cheese Iconography System.

The challenge was to design visual codes that included multiple layers of information about grocery items. These visual codes should identify types of food by using only shapes, colors, and textures without the need for copy that would potentially need to be translated into multiple languages.

 I chose to design a global icon system that would not only help the cheese-shopping experience but also make it somewhat educational. By integrating elements such as shape, color, line, and pattern, the system encodes key attributes of various cheeses, including their milk type, flavor, taste, and pattern. Each visual element offers a distinct, intuitive way to identify and compare cheeses at a glance, making the cheese selection enjoyable.
